The EXPERT project (EXPloiting Empirical appRoaches to Translation) is an ITN Marie Curie action that received support from the European Union in order to advance the current state of machine translation studies by hosting young PhD researchers and experienced researchers at universities and companies that wish to advance the current state of the art in machine translation through research, development and use of hybrid language translation technologies. The overall objective of EXPERT is to provide innovative research and training in the field of both Translation Memory and Machine Translation Technology.
The final event of the project will take place in Rome on Monday 9th May 2016 in the form of a
Business Showcase, bringing together leading lights of the translation arena from both Academia and Industry. The
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome has kindly offered its headquarters.
